#1: How much electricity is required to produce a litre of distilled water?

Setup:

A smart plug is used to monitor electricity usage in boiling 4L of water with a $140 distiller (purchased from ebay: HappyStoreShoping)

Result:

First half hour shows no droplet, and it starts pouring droplets on second half hour at a rate of 1L per 1 hour.
This means one litre of water will consume 1kWh which may translate to 30cents (per litre) if you are in Australia.
